CHANGE

"How do you change? And when?"

The first thing I did was fully pray 5 times a day.
And I was 15 years old.
I realise,  since that time,  I got friends who always remind me of
Islamic things...
Then I start to stop having special relationship with the boys.
I mean,  no texting,  calling,  etc.
Just classmates,  hostelmates...  Blablamates..
Not more than that.
After 3 years (more less),  I start fully cover myself.,
I change how I dress and how I wear my hijab,
And now,  I almost 20 years old,
I am still tested with two out of three things mentioned above..
(much more challenging)
The reason is,  during my highschool and matric life,
I was surrounded by people that always remind me of
those things...
Its not hard when do it in collective way.
People always said,  university life will give culture shock and
Everything will be different.
Now,  I admit that.
They say,  find a group (usrah),  to avoid that culture shock
But still, situation is really different,  and its hard.
So,  I can say that changing is a process and
it can stop anytime,
Change direction anytime.
The most important thing is at the end of this life.
Doesn't matter what kind of muslim you are,
But the things that will take into account is
HOW WE END THIS LIFE.
Which is no one know WHEN....

HIM

When you watch people around you,
and you're not comfortable.
you start thinking,
and say,
"just HIM"
yes. just HIM
and all people who close with HIM.

Every second in life,
you want only HIM,
as your everything.
just HIM that can change every
part of your life,
give everything that is good
for both your
worldly life and hereafter.

You stop
valuing everything from a human perspective
only want HIS perspective
HIS judgement
HIS words

but,
you are not strong enough
to follow HIS orders
to remind others
about HIS existence
to learn more
about HIS words
to walk to
HIS "house"
everyday...

but yet, you still think ONLY HIM

you start planning
planning and planning again.
although you keep failing,
you just keep planning.

PRAY EARLY
MAKE DU'A
READ QURAN
FAST
BE KIND
BE PATIENT
BE GRATEFUL

then, you realize,
something wrong with your plan
you forget things you should stop

STOP HURTING OTHERS
STOP ANGRY
STOP COMPLAINT
STOP ACT SHAMELESS
STOP BEING  SELFISH
STOP WASTING TIME

to do all these alone
is hard,

-but the reward is not comparable with what you done.
and the ultimate reward is MEETING HIM,
in blessing.

BEAUTIFUL

I'm used to be in a situation that people compare my face with my younger sister's face after she came into this world. We look like twin, but she slightly different with me because she has a better nose and lip shape (well,  human judgement). I never care about how my face shape looks like,   (there are much more important things to care of) because this is what I'm born with. What is the problem? Some people tell me about the ideal face shape and skin tone or structure, I really don't know what their points? Sometimes I think that they are trying to say that "I'm more beautiful than you" The fact that the things they're talking about is temporary is undeniable. So what? If they're trying to attract people , the opposite gender, clearly its forbidden in Islam. These types of people who actually contribute to promoting beautiful surgery industry that made the girls or women loss self confident . I hope social media will promote better things than all those unnecessary topics. Plus,  so what if you are more beautiful?  Planning to have 4 husbands???

ANIMAL

I was learning introduction to politics and my lecturer mentioned about Aristotle's saying about political animal. So, I keep thinking about it because I am human and I don't like to be compared with the animals. One day when I was reading the Quran, I found the answer.

(25:44) Do you think that most of them hear or understand ? They are only like the cattle; nay, even worse than the cattle. *57

*57 "They are only like the cattle" because they follow their lusts blindly. Just as the sheep and cattle do not know where their driver is taking them, to the meadow or to the slaughter house, so are these people also following their leaders blindly without knowing or judging where they are being led-to success or to destruction.. The only difference between the two is that the cattle have no intelligence and will not be accountable as to the place where they are being taken by the driver. But it is a pity that human beings who are endowed with reason, should behave like cattle; therefore their condition is worse than that of cattle.
Incidentally it should be noted that this passage (w . 43, 44) is not meant to dissuade the Holy Prophet from conveying the Message to such people, but it is an indirect warning to the disbelievers of the consequences if they continued to behave like cattle .

And this is the previous Ayaah....

أَرَأَيْتَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ إِلَهَهُ هَوَاهُ أَفَأَنْتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِ وَكِيلًا ﴿25:43﴾

(25:43) Have you ever considered the case of the person who has made his lust his god? *56 Can you take the responsibility of guiding such a one aright ?

*56 "...the person who makes his lust his god" is the one who becomes the slave of his lusts and desires. As he serves his lust like the one who warships ' his deity, he becomes as much guilty of .shirk as the one who worships an idol. According to a Tradition, related by Hadrat Abu Hurairah, the Holy Prophet said, "Of all the false gods being worshipped and served, instead of Allah, the worst in the sight of Allah is one's own lust." (Tabarani). For further explanation, see E.N. 50 of Al-Kahf, The man who keeps his desires under control, and uses his common sense to make decisions, can be expected to come to the right path by making an appeal to his reason even though he might have been involved in shirk or disbelief; for if. he decides to follow the right way he will remain firm and steadfast on it. On the other hand, the man who is the slave of his own lust, is like a ship without an anchor, who wanders about on any path where his lust leads him. He is least bothered about the distinction between the right and the wrong, the true and the false, and has no desire to choose one against the other. And, if ar alI, such a person is persuaded to accept the message of Guidance, no one can take the responsibility that he will observe any moral laws.

What I understand in simple word is that some people act like animal because they want to pursue  their interests. Is this what most political did?

STICK ON THE TABLE

It was 7 o'clock  in the morning,  my  class  start at  9 o'clock, but I  think it's better coming early and take my breakfast 🍞 at the education faculty. I was alone until one of my course mates come and join me. I like to observe people and I saw a blind man with his stick on the table. I  ate with him once during last semester and it make me think that people with less ability can wake up early and it makes me think how people are not being grateful. I knew that this can't be  an only  parameter to evaluate people's grateful, but  it showed that people wasting their gift and time. There are problems that occur in a global 🌎 society. Sleep during the day and active at night. As a Muslim, pray is the first thing that will evaluate on the day of judgment. Pray Fajr on time is challenging if this circle of life is practiced. I hope that one day when I walk on the street early in the morning, I will see more Muslims. This is one of the ways to be a productive Muslim.
Plus it is a sunnah of Rasulullah,  means this is what Rasulullah did and encourage us to follow. There is no other better reason to argue with this issue.

DRY SANDAL

I used to have friends that will make sure my sandal wet early in the morning. This is how the story begins. I used to wake up early and pray the Fajr prayer. But sometimes I wake up late and she will knock my door and wake me up. So I ask her how you know that I am still sleeping? So she said, I saw your sandal still dry. From that moment we always check each other sandals before going to the toilets to take wudhu'.

But now all of us going to different universities. Now, I only can see the dry sandals without knock the doors. I pray one day all the dry sandals will wet earlier.
